The Crossroads was a town in The Westerlands of Drunkeros. It was known to be a gathering place of heroes, a place that adventurers go to go off on adventures, the kind that adventurers would go on! These adventurers were led by River Grey, who ran the town the way daughter Rowan Grey ran The Tower of Grey. Grey (River, not Rowan) and Theonjon Dayne, King of Galanthis, were members of an adventuring group years ago (that also included Bigby), that operated out of the Crossroads.
Later, Dayne would meet up with Rowan Grey, and send her to the Crossroads to check on it/River, after nearby locations were attacked by a Tarrasque.
It was a relatively small town, but everything there was huge. It was lined by a large river, with a huge bridge, and a big water wheel. There was also The Majestic Hog Inn, an enormous tavern, the size of 10 normal taverns, that served as the offices of River Grey's operations.
Recent Events[]
Rowan Grey and her friends met with Rowan's father, the king, by the request of Melora. There, King Dayne informed them that The Citadel of the Seven was destroyed. He revealed that the story he used to tell, about killing a Tarrasque in the Westerlands, was a bit embellished. They merely contained the Tarrasque, but left it alive. He suspected that this Tarrasque was the thing that destroyed the Citadel, and requested that Rowan and co. go there and investigate. He also requested that they investigate the Crossroads as well, fearing for River Grey's well-being. They were also contacted by Aelar, who informed them that he had lured the Tarrasque away from the Crossroads, keeping it safe for the time being.
They went to there, and searched The Majestic Hog Inn for River, finding her in her office. After a brief reconnection, the city was attached by the Tarrasque, though, after an intense battle, the party was able to defeat it.
