Missing Brother to Lahni Caplain Later revealed to also be The Sorrowful Man

Lonny Caplain was the brother to Lahnik "Lahni" Caplain. He went missing after accidentally poisoning and killing his entire family during the annual Suns Out, Buns Out festival in Arkensaw. Distraught, he ran off, during which time Lahni had been searching for him, with the help of The Tower of Grey.

We saw, many years ago, Lonny encounter a young Skud Derringer at The Monastery of Uthgar, when The Skull Bandits attacked said Monastery. Lonny seemed to have been a member of the Bandits. He claimed that his "peepaw" had told him that this Monastery contained untold riches, resulting in his interest in the place. It is assumed that he told the Bandits what his "peepaw" told him. Lonny was timid, and didn't hurt anyone during the attack. As a result, he was sparred when Master Alder entered the Monastery and killed the Bandits. Alder took Lonny to "The Constable" for questioning.

As of Episode 375 - The Sorrowful Man, it was revealed that Lonny was living as The Sorrowful Man in Jörldin. The Bones Champion of The Elemental Plane of Earth, Lonny waited for about year before Lahni and co. arrived in Jörldin to battle him, unaware of his identity. After seeing Lahni, he freaked out and ran off to The Night Zone, where the Tower ran after him and rescued him. He revealed that he'd been trying to become a Bones Master to bring his family back to life, as bones! Instead, Lahni convinced him to join the Tower of Grey! He accepted, and in return gave Skud the Badge he needed to proceed in the tournament.

Accompanied the Tower during their descent into The Abyss to rescue Queen Aludra Wyrmsbane, Jaela, and Lady Adira Harper, but stayed back on the ship.

Trivia[]

  • Initially written in the wiki as Lannie. In fact, originally pronounced as Lannie, with that hard "ah" sound. But, in Episode 375, it was changed to Lonny, pronounced the same as Lahni, which is much more hilarious.
