Marendithas Bearcharger was a personal bodyguard to King Titus Harper. He accompanied him to the wedding of Queen Aludra Wyrmsbane and Baldur Oakback in Deephome, but was killed en route by a Beholder. It was then revealed that his idiocy was merely a result of him using all of his wits to keep a demon that lived within him at bay. He was actually hyper-intelligent. Would sometimes zone out, and speak in unknowable incantations.
