Fennekin's Fortress was created by Fennekin sometime after the start of the Demon Apocalypse and before the then un-named Ätlän-tã Fælcons awoke from their resurrection by Erathis. Where Caer used to be is now consumed by a ten mile wide undulating rift into the abyss that has swallowed every feature of the countryside. In the very center of the portal rests a black egg-like sphere, the size of a stronghold or castle - barely a dot in the middle of the abyss portal from which Demons emerge non-stop.
