These dang illusory nightmares are dang spooky and our heroes are getting beat up! But I know they can do it and, heck, maybe learn something along the way!

Story[]

Long Story[]

Toby is still possessed, and sending psychic projections of his friends' worst fears at them. The E.G.G. Killer creates a Shadowy Creature to fight along side him, which keeps trying to hide from everyone. Bucky is able to defeat the Natchoos monster, despite no longer being a Player Character. Skud, who is a Player Character, destroys the last three skeleton creatures, but is unable to finish off the Shambling Mound, which pulls him into itself, strangling him. Lahni runs over to help fight this thing, until Skud frees himself. He is then immediately caught again. Lahni kills the beast, and the EGG killer makes a ranged attack against her. This finally allows Lahni to use her Deflect Missiles ability, and catches the arrow! She sends it right back to him. It doesn't deal a lot of damage, but that's not the point, you know? Finally, Skud finishes him off with a Meteor Swarm, which also gets rid of the Shadow Creature.

A voice comes from nowhere, congratulating him. It tells them that they can have Toby back, and drops him, Rowan Grey, and Eckhart Dayhammer harmlessly to the ground.

Short[]

The fight continues vs the Mushroom visions. Bucky slays the Natchoos. Skud destroys the last of the skeletons, and is almost drowned twice by the Shambling Mound. Lahni kills it, though, and then everyone focuses on the E.G.G. Killer. Skud finishes it off by sending a Swarm of Meteors toward it.

Trivia[]

  • I still don't know what this "$20 paid to Bachmann" thing is all about. I just don't understand. Is it a Patreon thing? It sounds like a joke, but they play it so straight. If it's not a joke, did the person who paid want Toby to become infected and attack anyone? Was it the Angel of Death? I just don't understand...
