With the BTS secured our heroes must make their way back home! Sure, what is home anyways for adventurers such as ours, but surely they will be happy to sleep in a Non-White Flounder bed (even though the White Flounder’s beds are amazing).

Story

Long Story

After a celebration of the gang's new abilities (level 20, baby!), and a horrifying conversation with Toby's new cursed book, Tsugrix Zelentiri, Toby offers Oliver Hairmouth and Angel la Pamela Sanjerita positions with The Tower of Grey. The two take the party to the boat cockpit, where they pilot the ship. There's an astrolabe there, and it's awesome. This is how they navigate the Astral Plane. Next to it is a big row of crystals, that are meant to power the airship, allowing it to transport between planes. Unfortunately, most of them are all burned out. There are only 5 left, and they are a one-time-use situation. What's more, the two Githyanki crewmates don't know where to get new crystals from. It's one crystal to enter the Astral Plane from The Elemental Plane of Air, but to navigate the Astral Plane... They take the crew up to the navigation room (seperate place), and show them their sextant.

The sextant allows the navigator to find which portal within the Astral Plane to fly to. They put a crystal in and pull the lever. The boat takes off, and shifts into the Astral Plane! It's hella weird here. A giant Astral Whale floats around, with a plethora of eyeballs along its spine. It opens its mouth and thousands of small golden creatures emerge and begin cleaning it, or something. Soon, they are able to find and aim toward one of the portals.

Meanwhile, Rowan and Lahni investigate the Captain's Quarters, but find nothing of note. They did find the Captain's Log last time, so they grab that and bring it to Toby. He reads it, and finds no navigational tips, but the final notes state that they are running out of crystals and also harpoons, which they use to drag the ship through the portals of the Astral Plane. Those harpoons are made of silvered Githyanki metal, and are rare. They have about 10 of them

They find a nearby silvery pool to get to the Prime Material Plane, and head over toward it. Toby instructs Rowan and Pandora Thorne to try to harpoon them toward the pool, and Pandora winks at Rowan. Could it be love? Rowan shoots and gets a perfect shot! A light bursts forth and surrounds the ship. The whole thing gets sucked through and they are in the Prime Material Plane! And they are in Greenham!

Short

The two crewmates of the BTS teach Toby how the ship works, and they begin to fly through the Astral Plane. After finding the Captain's Log, and some more shenanigans, they are eventually able to find a portal to the Prime Material Plane, and enter it, finally returning to Greenham.

Trivia

  • Tim makes a comment about the podcast version being the only canonical version of events. In the YouTube/Twitch version, things are included that get cut from the podcast version, so they don't count. Due to the fact that I, MisterRed, write these as I listen to the Twitch version, this is concerning
  • They question if Skud's BattleBot is still chugging along back in Mastwick. Skud claims he "hasn't cast him since then", which is famously untrue. Skud last used the BattleBot in Episode 377 - Angry Allies, against the shadow monster that was trying to eat Lonny Caplain
  • Tsugrix Zelentiri's cover is made out of the skin of her former sister
  • Michael describes the relationship between the Wiki (this Wiki) and the podcast as a game of telephone, where something is said on the podcast, it's written into the Wiki, and then the cast refers to the Wiki in future episodes. Sometimes things get... lost in the transfer. See: Oliver Hairmouth, but especially, Angel la Pamela Sanjerita
  • Angel la Pamela Sanjerita, now speaks with a thick cockney accent, while Oliver Hairmouth speaks with a deep Australian brogue
  • Bucky never speaks with the family that he left behind, all the way back in Episode 36
  • Everyone in this group has been to the Astral Plane before. Back in Episode 263
  • In the world of Greetings Adventurers, foreskins don't exist. It's canon. Nothing can be done about this
  • Verona is employed by the Tower of Grey, and the two write letters to each other. It's a bit one-sided
