We continue on on our quest to defeat this Plane’s Bonecard champion and prove once and for all that… we… are allowed into the room where hopefully the piece of the godkilling artifact is. At least I am pretty sure that is the goal here.

Story[]

Long Story[]

Behold The White Flounder! It's a tavern, in an air zone, underwater. It hurts my head to think about! It would also hurt my head to smell, because apparently it's all dank and smelly. A Mer-Person (with a sea bass head and a humanoid lower body) is running the desk. The party asks this person for a room, in the non-moldy section, but there is only one room available, in the moldy section. This is because tomorrow is "Bonesplash 42", and everyone is in town for it. Whatever, a room's a room, and the gang heads up to it. It's full of bunk beds! As they settle in, there are loud sounds of party outside, which prompts everyone to head out and down to the ground level in their own unique ways. Toby had alreaddy run off to buy an all-white linen suit. Lahni, of course, phases through the wall and falls down into a pool. Bercy Hamhands, who, I'll remind you, is present, runs through the wall after her, but he doesn't have any Boots of Phasing, so he just breaks through, leaving a Bercy shaped hole in the wall. He injures himself as he lands. Rowan leaps through the Bercy hole and decides, for some reason, to do a belly flop into the water. She's successful, but ouch. Skud jumps, and uses Feather Fall to slow his descent. And I mean sloooooooow. He now may or may not have an army of water Falcons at his command.

At the center of this event, there is a dude doing keg stands. He looks like "Riley" from Letterkenny, with 6-pack abs and dirty-blond, kinda wavy hair. And sunglasses. And with a surfer accent. The party introduces themselves to this party dude, who's name is Brody Broheim. He's chillin' with his bros, beer pong champ Mike Hunk (a hug, bald human), cornhole master Figus StonePiler (a Dwarf with his beard tied around his forehead like a headband), master of flip cup Jeff Wee (a moist Halfling), and their business manager Gorp (Half-Ogre). Brody explains that he used to be The Maroness's lover, until a dispute seperated the two of them, and now, she wants nothing to do with him. He also says that Jilling the Bonehammer is supposed to fight tomorrow, but she might not if the Maroness doesn't believe she has a worthy opponent. After finding out that they have a bone coin, Brody asks them to tell the Maroness that he's sorry about the kid. When prompted, he reveals that he and the Maroness had a child together some 20+ years ago, but he gave him up to a boarding school. This, of course, prompts the cast to believe this child to be Skud, though Skud is quick to dismiss this idea. He claims he knows who his father was, and this isn't him, even though his father is also a party dude, and likes to drink.

They decide that they shouldn't wait to go and see the Maroness, so they consult their guide, Skipper who's birthday it still is. Even though his food has been spiked by Rowan, he is still able to guide them to the Training Facility, a giant cylindrical building out in the water. The gange takes "Bubble Cars" to get there, which are like individual scooters (except for Toby, who summons a steed in the shape of a horse-like creature with 4 seahorse tails instead of legs). Eventually, they make it to the training facility, where Skud is able to show the coin to a guard, and grants everyone access inside.

This place is dope. The center of it serves as the arena, and it's a giant water area, with a large 40ft-by-40ft area in the center to fight on, and six bridges connecting it to the walls. Currently, there is a fight going on between a Marid and a fish creature with a hammer head shark's hammer head head. And in the corner of this area is a Storm Giant doing burpees, under the guidance of a more human-looking Marid woman. The Storm Giant is Jilling the Bonehammer, and the Marid is the Maroness.

Skud introduces himself, upon which the Maroness takes one look at him, and falls to her knees with tears in her eyes. She recognizes Skud, and Skud, with a flashback to his childhood, recognizes her.

The Maroness is Skud's mother!

Short[]

The gang gets a room to stay in, then goes to hang out at a party where they meet Brody Broheim, a Bro. They are then led, by Skipper, to the training facility, where they meet the Maroness and Jilling the Bonehammer. It is at this moment, that we learn that The Maroness is Skud's mother.

Trivia[]

  • Bonesplash 42 is the third biggest bone card even in Dreikfelldur
    • The other two are Bone-Mania and The Bones of Reckoning
      • Lahni used to watch The Bones of Reckoning
  • Lahni still has the Kid Rock poster from the prison, and she sticks it to the wall here in the room
  • Bercy has a peg leg now
  • The Maronness is a Marid, which is the Genie specific to the Water Plane, like the Efreeti were to the Fire Plane. We learned all about the different ones back in Episode 334
