NOTE: This section contains SPOILERS for Bird Arc season 1. We recommend catching up on listening before reading this section!
Our investigators have been receiving many clues in their adventures on St Paxton Island. Here are some of those clues they’ve discovered in their attempts to unravel the mysteries:
- Darius somehow knows Todd’s brother died from toxoplasmosis without Todd telling him what disease it was.
- When the group asks Clem if she knows where Darius went, she leads them to the “guest house” by Malsato Lago. But it seems to be solid concrete behind the door and windows.
- The bird, Lily, has runes on her beak, says Clem “made her,” and can travel through time.
- Edward got a rash from the plants that were around Carol Becker’s body, but it seemed to disappear.
- Clara was scratched by a bird on her cheek, but the mark turned into a symbol. That same symbol was in a picture in a book at the old library, and there are 3 necklaces with that symbol.
- Edward was told in a dream to “find the well.”
- There was a sewer type smell in the laundry room at Carol Becker’s house.
- “Eat the rich” is written on a panel in the conference room at the police station.
- At the library, Ezra says she has met them all before.
- The ferry manifests each have one name crossed off and if they are not signed off on daily, horrible things will happen.
- Ezra says the people on the manifests come from another time, another place.
- The group finds necklaces at the old library with the same symbol on Clara's cheek. Todd keeps the wood necklace, Bellamy keeps metal, and Edward keeps stone.
- Ezra says there are multiple universes, bird and cat, and the cat universe where she is from is gone.
- While the crew was in the library, 3 weeks passed outside, 46 manifests went unsigned, and 15 children went missing.
Clues from the books Ezra gives the group in the library:
- In the pictures sometimes Edward doesn't age and sometimes Darius doesn't age.
- In book 7, Clara is not in the photographs, but her name is listed in the captions as if she is there. Ezra says she was in a "state of learning."
- The entire section of the library is about Darius, Todd, Bellamy, Edward, and Clara, but the higher numbered books are blank.
- Book 4 has paintings and includes a picture of Bellamy floating in Hudson Bay.
- Book 5 has medical jargon, formulas, photos of Edward finishing medical school, pictures of children with serious deformities and pictures of them cured. The last page is crude pencil drawing of Todd with the caption "Failure at Todd" in Darius' handwriting.
- Book 1 is a journal by Darius and another unnamed person who shares a strong connection with him.
- There are photos of Edward and Clara's wedding, and people in the crowd wearing necklaces with the symbol that matches the one on Clara's cheek.
