Well these dang giants need our dang help so I guess we gotta venture further into the dang jungle. And they are warning us about a large fella we need to be wary of?! This is too much, man!

Story[]

Long Story[]

The party awakens the next morning (except for R'Oarc, who was up all night playing music). The two Hill Giants, Linnell and Flansburgh, remind the party of their request; to retrieve the Crystal of Harmony from the nest of a giant bird-like dinosaur, high up in the mountains. The Giants don't necessarily care if the bird lives or dies, so they have some flexibility there. But BE WARNED! To reach the nest, they will have to travel through the territory of "Doomjaws". He's a terrifying monstrous dinosaur with jaws so big, he can eat Hill Giants. Yikes!

To aid them on their quest, the Hill Giants gift the party a magical Rope of Climbing. With a single whisper, it can wrap around anything the user desires. It's 60 ft long, and while it only weighs 3 lbs, it can carry around 3,000 lbs, making it perfect for climbing. Screech, resident climber, takes that. Also, to sweeten the pot, they offer another magical item as a reward upon the Crystal's return: a Portable Hole.

But where to go? The Giants point out a large cliff, waaay in the distance. Gazing intently, they can see what appears to be movement on the cliff face, the scurrying of many, most-likely-very-large-and-terrifying creatures. And with that, the party bids farewell to the Hill Giants, and begins their trek through the jungle.

Along the way, they see many horrifying sights. There are massive mosquitoes, large lizards, size-able snakes. There's also a man-eating plant in front of them, but R'Oarc is able to notice it, and navigate them around its maw. Screech doesn't have to worry, though, as he's swinging along the path on vines, Tarzan-style. Not long into their journey, the party begins to feel as if they are being followed. As horrible as the creatures they've seen so far have been, what could be worse, that's hiding in the treeline?

Three giant apes leap out and attack them! These apes are huge, 15 ft by 15 ft! And they're vicious, doing tons of damage with each attack. T'Chuck creates some Spiritual Guardians to help out, which chip away at the chimps. R'Oarc aides her friends by healing the wounds caused by the creatures. Meanwhile, Selene blasts the beasts with Fireballs, singeing their fur, and causing two of the apes to run away in fear. The final ape is locked in battle with T'Chuck. R'Oarc comes to her dad's rescue, slashing at the simian with her rapier. She doesn't do a ton of damage, but it's just enough to finish off the foe.

And the battle is won!

The next morning, the Hill Giants give them a Rope of Climbing, and send them out to retrieve the Crystal of Harmony. Along the way, they are attacked by three giant apes, but the party is able to kill them all relatively quickly.

  • In the last episode, the party had been led up here by a carnie named Penelope Whistleblow. In this episode, she is not mentioned. What happened to Penelope?
  • T'Chuck is about 318 lbs.
  • Screech is "under 6 ft tall".
