Clown Capitalism Full Circus

There is an awful noise coming from the clown/ juggler war tent. Just going to leave it there. That is a sentence that has never been said before. Wish us luck.

Story[]

Long Story[]

The party stands in the middle of an army of clowns and an army of jugglers. It's truly a terror to imagine. The clowns demands they pick a side. One of the clowns, introducing himself as "Honk the Hilarious", informs them that the leader of the jugglers is an evil artificer. However, as any great writer knows, one must show and not tell, so a giant juggler construct rips open the tent and begins wreaking havoc! It's juggling three giant axes, and doesn't care where it steps. In fact, it steps on a small child! It also picks up a clown, tears it in half, and throws the bottom half back down toward the party. Gross! Also, how is it doing this while juggling? It later does the same thing with a cow! How? It doesn't make any sense!

Anyway, this abomination quickly turns the party over to the side of the clowns, at least temporarily. They get to work trying to stop that thing. R'Oarc is mysteriously absent, but that will have to wait. Screech decides to climb up the creature, Shadow of the Colossus-style. However, Selene is about to hit it with a Fireball, and he doesn't want to be too close to the top of this thing when that happens. So, he only climbs up about 5 ft. Then, after attacking it himself, he realizes that he is taller than 5 ft, so he climbs back down. Cool. Seems like a waste of energy to me. T'Chuck hits it with an Inflict Wounds spells, so in retaliation, it tries to hit him with Inflict AXE. By which, I mean, it throws its three axes at T'Chuck, Selene, and Screech. Bad Axe! Selene is able to dodge out of the way, but T'Chuck and Screech are hit. They do succeed in their Wisdom Saving Throws, which is good because it sounds like they are only barely able to maintain their sanity. I'm not sure what that was about, but it sounds terrible.

Selene is finally able to hit this massive creature with a Fireball. It topples over, and crashes to the ground! But the battle's not over yet, because a smaller construct appears, bursting out of the chest of the larger one. This one is riding atop a unicycle. Actually, it's legs are one unicycle. And it's also juggling. Selene does something wild, and shoots a psychic lance out of her forehead! It knocks the smaller construct to the ground. Meanwhile, Screech climbs into the newly revealed entrance of the giant construct. Somehow, he is able to work the control panel enough to control this creature's arm, and throws one of the axes back at the smaller construct. The aim is so good that it chops off the unicycle/leg of the thing. Finally, Screech leaps out of the large creature, and, Wolverine-style, lands claw first on the construct's chest.

This destroys the construct. As it powers down, its face plate opens, revealing a small Gnome inside. Screech sees the light leave his eyes, and feels nothing.

Around them, the battle is still raging on. T'Chuck picks up the Gnome's body, and carries it back to the other. He yells out to the jugglers that their leader is dead. It's time to stop the fighting. A quiet stillness falls over the battlefield. The jugglers all gather around T'Chuck. They ask for his name. He gives it.

Then, quietly at first, but growing louder, a chant begins to rise. A simple chant, only a single word, really. "T'Chuck. T'Chuck. T'Chuck."

Short[]

The clowns and the jugglers are fighting in the Big Top. The leader of the Jugglers has made a giant construct which is currently on a rampage, killing people, animals, and things. The party sides with the clowns to stop this horrible thing. Selene destroys it with a Fireball, but there's another, smaller construct inside that. Screech destroys this thing, which also kills the Gnome artificer that was controlling it from the inside. T'Chuck carries its body back to the other jugglers, who begin worshiping him as their new leader.

Trivia[]

  • The giant juggling construct is wearing a big jester's hat.
