Bony Horizon A Distracting Hot Spring

There are honestly way too many bones here… which I suppose we should have expected. But don’t look a bone horse in the mouth is what my granddad always said. And, well, maybe that will help us secure Mineford for Ratma in some small way. A bone based way.

Story[]

Long Story[]

Our heroes have departed The Goblin Pit Too, headed for the Boneyard (or Bone Lands, depending on who you ask). It doesn't take them too long to get there, and when they do, they see six (6) animated skeletons, shaking all about. Now, when I say "animated", I mean in the sense that they're moving of their own accord. I don't mean that they're cartoons. Although, to be fair, Michael didn't say that they weren't cartoons, so who knows. Screech, as the stealthiest of the group, scouts on ahead. There's a hallway at the end of the room, and in that hallway are five (5) more skeletons, also animated. And there's also one (1) Bone Golem, the party's prey. Screech returns to tell the others that there are a total of eleven (11) skeletons, which almost rhymes, and a Bone Golem, which rhymes with Stone Solem, which is not a word.

The group plans out their next move. They decide that the best course of action would be to lead the Bone Golem out to them, since the room their in is large. This provides more space for combat, as opposed to the narrow confines of the hallway. While these plans are being made, R'Oarc steps away to perform a little preparation of her own. She gathers some bones, and smears them with blood from her own fingers. She then ups the horror by slicing a chunk of her own skin off, and places that on the bones as well. Next, she licks some bone dust, and smears that, too, on the bones. Finally, she casts the spell Animate Dead. Now, again, I'm not saying that R'Oarc busts out the ol' charcoal pencil and some parchment, spends a few hours doing some light sketching, uses nice inks to create colors, shadow, and textures, and then uses a series of similar drawings projected onto a screen via some tube lights, and cartoon-style Animates the Dead. I'm not saying that. Stop interpreting the word "Animate" that way. Stop doing it. No, what I mean is that she creates a new skeleton friend to fight beside her. This friend, she names "Bubby", though it very quickly changes to "Graves", named after the enigmatic Milton Graves, currently dressed as Beholder-doodle.

Anyway, they fight the skeletons. It goes pretty well. The skeletons themselves are pretty weak, and its really the Bone Golem that poses the main threat. He's made entirely out of skulls, which is the strongest bone in the body, so. You know it goes. It's T'Chuck that finishes the creature off. Screech harvests the tendons needed to make the antidote for J'Michael.

Short[]

The party heads to the Boneyard, and fights a bunch of skeletons and the Bone Golem. R'Oarc creates a skeleton friend named Bubby Graves from some old bones. The party defeats the Bone Golem, and harvests its tendons.
