The final OT member needs our help! Are we full of enough grit to save our enemies from even more enemies?! And why is the good lord testing us so much… we just want to chill.
Story[]
Long Story[]
The party stands face to face with an interesting sight: Kyle Oakenbacher is fighting a giant metal snake! They quickly decide to join the fight, though there is much confusion with regards to how the fight begins, who is delaying turns, and for how long. Things get even more confusing when Kyle begins making comments that suggest he's not actually OT. It may even have been him that killed Corey Blue, not a magical trap! Selene gives the OK to take this guy out, and all attention is turned to him. Ultimately, T'Chuck is able to knock Kyle unconscious, and all attention is then turned to the snake. R'Oarc tries to find some corrosive acid to throw at it, but doesn't know what any of the vials around her do. So, when she throws one at the snake, she inadvertently gives it the ability to teleport! It does this to get to R'Oarc, and bites at her. Screech also tries throwing some vials at the snake, but this only makes it unable to speak. Which it couldn't do anyway. Finally, Selene kills the snake with a lightning blast.
The battle over, the group looks around the room. There's another door leading to the south, and the sound of rushing water can be heard on the other side of it. The sight of rushing water can be seen on the other side of it too, once T'Chuck opens the door. They decide to stay in the lab to question Kyle, who is forced awake by dunking him in the waterfall. He calls Selene "OT scum", and then answer's The Lovin' Spoonful's question by saying yes, he does believe in magic. In fact, he is a part of the magical resistance, that believes everyone should have access to magic.
Short[]
The party fights a giant metal snake, and a not-really-OT member named Kyle Oakenbacher. Kyle is knocked out, and the snake is given the ability to teleport by R'Oarc. It's eventually killed by Selene. Kyle is awoken, and questioned, and he reveals that he's a part of the magical resistance.
Trivia[]
- Day 7 of the campaign.
- It decided that the Metal Snake is named Kyle, too. So, to differentiate it from the real Kyle, the snake is called "Metal Kyle", and the real Kyle is "Skin Kyle", a terrible name.
- Yes, it's true. I am DM season 5 of Tales from the Foaming Tankard. That season's not out yet, but previous seasons are, and it's a good show, you should check it out: [1]
